dc.description.abstractIn the contemporary landscape of information dissemination, the role of small-region radio signals in propagating misinformation has become increasingly pertinent. This study investigates the propagation patterns of misinformation within such radio signals, shedding light on the mechanisms through which false information spreads within localized communities. Leveraging computational methods and data analytics, we analyze a diverse range of small-region radio broadcasts across different geographic and demographic contexts. Our findings reveal nuanced patterns of misinformation propagation, influenced by factors such as community cohesion, media consumption habits, and socio-political dynamics. By elucidating these patterns, this research contributes to a deeper understanding of the complex interplay between communication technologies and the spread of misinformation. Furthermore, our insights provide valuable implications for policymakers, media practitioners, and technology developers in devising strategies to mitigate the adverse effects of misinformation in small-region radio contexts.
