Resumen
This paper seeks to explore the relationship between Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Social Capital (SC) in the mining industry. The qualitative analysis was complemented by the insights provided by interviews with key informants as well as the emerging literature on the intersection of SC and CSR. The findings revealed a framework with four quadrants to understand how CSR proposed by a mining company impacts SC, as well as the best practices to move from negative CSR to positive CSR that can generate strong SC. © 2020
