This paper studies risk perception of Spanish construction workers and its relation with the demographic variable of training. The study sample was analyzed by means of hierarchical conglomerate and cluster analyses. The model used to establish the clusters is based on the psychometric paradigm. Two different risk perception groups were singled out. There was an attempt to identify, after analyzing each cluster, their relation with different sociodemographic variables. Only the worker training variable showed a statistically significant relation with the two cluster analysis groups. As a result, the perception of risk of the best-trained group was higher than that of the less-trained group. © 2014 American Society of Civil Engineers.
